Note: Young attacking midfielder joined in the summer and has been probably over used in a desperate time. Which may have made my negative opinion of him grow.

Note: Returning favourite to the club. Came in and brought a breathe of attacking air about him. Looked a threat once again until injury cut things short. Returned but not as effective as before.

I'd Like = See if Wycombe Wanderers cut him although under contract there. If so he will definitely be interested in signing back here but only if the numbers are right for both parties.

Expectation = Loan ends he goes back and then talking begins and who knows where it ends. .

Average Rating = 5.50

Note: Had a successful loan with Sutton United when they were struggling at the wrong end of the National Conference. Scored from corners there and couldn't beat the first man with us. Flattered with much optimism but seemed to lacked ability at this level.

I'd Like = Him offered another contract I would guess a 2 year deal to see if the developing keeps happening and we have a starter in the making.

Expectation = I would not be surprised to see him get released and join Sutton United on a free.

#32 Aron Sasu

Games = 14

Average Rating = 5.64

Note: Had one good game away at Cardiff City kids in the BMS, Pizza cup competition. I don't know how he keeps getting selected has made approximately 60 appearances for us and yet to score or assist in a league game..

I'd Like = Wave the white flag and send him on his way, I am sorry as he seems a nice guy but he is not earning his wages at the moment (or ever).

Expectation = He'll be offered another contract to see if something develops.

#10 Josh Kelly

Note: I really wanted this one to be a success but he has been given his chances and not taken them at this level. Saw him once this season before going on loan to Woking where he has not set the world on fire. So sadly this is going to end one way.

I'd Like = To see him do really well in the pro league, he won't do it here though.

Expectation = He'll be released and waved off with a good luck message.

#4 Jake Reeves

Average Rating = 6.60

Note: An absolute legend for this club with three spells here. Once again leaving us in a better place but really feel his legs have run out of juice by the end of this season. Great start and then drifted away.

I'd Like = To find the fountain of youth, but it won't happen so released with our thanks and good luck wishes.

Expectation = Exactly what I would like but he won't be offered a contract.

#5 Sam Hutchinson

Games = 3

Average Rating = 6.67

Note: Signed and was instrument in the run into the end of last season but suffered a heart attack on the pitch at Grimsby Town but finished the game and scored the winner. Given a years contract when he passed medical checks to play. In his only start had to come off after 70 minutes.

Contract = Ends in July

I'd Like = To see a miracle cure and he signs and plays for the next two season.

Expectation = He will be released with big thanks and well wishes for the future both on and off the pitch.

In reality = ???

#8 Callum Maycock

Games = 25

Average Rating = 7.00

Note: An unsung hero of this team. Played upfront and all places in midfield, he doesn't do the fancy stuff but is here to do a job and does it well. Made a difference in so many games this season without half the fans even noticing.

Contract = Ends in July

I'd Like = To see him sign for another two or three seasons as I think he would be needed and would love to see him in yellow and blue for another year or two.

Expectation = He is offered a contract but may get a better deal elsewhere.

In reality = ???

#9 Omar Bugiel

Games = 24

Average Rating = 7.04

Note: Been with the team for a few years now and most fan's know what to expect from him and that is to fight and battle with every header and make Stevens look good with the number of goals he creates.

Contract = Ends in July

I'd Like = Another contract to be offered but would appear we have to sort out finances before being able to offer something but we live in hope.

Expectation = I have a horrible feeling he will not be offered a contract and will leave us on a free but really hope I am wrong.

#3 Steve Seddon

Games = 30

Average Rating = 7.10

Note: Another returning player that signed a single year deal. Appears to love the dons and was one of the highly rated players of the season. Dead ball situation give him a place to shine.

I'd Like = To see another year offered for Steve as he can clearly compete at this level and may have others looking to use his services. He is a fighter and is one that this team desperately needs.

Expectation = I'd assume a contract will be offered but will he and the club want the same thing we will have to wait and see.

#31 Joe Lewis

Games = 17

Average Rating = 7.12

Note: Centre back brought in on loan to reform a centre back partnership with Johnson. Fast big and strong defender who when focused is the best defensive player on the pitch when playing anyone. Loses focus and looks the opposite (potentially if that is injured).

Contract = Ends in July

I'd Like = To see him offered another contract as captain for most of the season with Reeves injured. He did not look that interested towards the end of the season but this could be injury related but as captain leads from the front and by example. I just hope we try and keep him and then see what happens.

Expectation = He should be offered a contract but whether he wants to stay will have to wait to see.

#15 Patrick Bauer

Games = 14

Average Rating = 7.29

Note: Came in as a back-up centre back to an established back three. Ousted Riley Harbottle from the first back up choice and after some shakey return games made the spot his own. Helped us retain League 1 status and stood out in the nervy away game at Wigan Athletic.

Contract = Ends in July

I'd Like = To see him back for another season but with the contract needing to be offered and accepted will that happen?

Expectation = Honestly expect him to be offered a contract for a year and will be back up or even a starting centre back depending in Lewis is actually retained.

#21 Myles Hippolyte

Games = 24

Average Rating = 7.29

Note: An inspiration to the team. Only goal-scorer in the play-off final and was in the team that won this season and not playing when the team wasn't winning.

I'd Like = To see him firstly offered and then sign a new contract as he will be desperately missed. One of few really bright sparks in a season that just ebbed away. Really need him to stay.

Expectation = The fans and the rumours says he is going and I'd assume we will low ball him with a contract with the stay and show your love or leave. I suspect he'll leave which is one of the worst bits of news expected in the next week or two. BOOO!!

#18 Delano McCoy-Splatt

Games = 1

Average Rating = 5.00

Note: Joined this pre-season and has not really featured in the first team at all. Brought in as one for the future.

Contract = Ends in July 2027

I'd Like = to see some appearances or let go if not deemed good enough. I am not convinced he is good enough.

Expectation = Nothing in the off-season and he'll be back warming the bench in odd matches through next season.

In reality = ???

#19 Osman Foyo

Average Rating = 5.50

Note: Had some gambling issues resulting in him being banned from playing. Went on loan to Sutton United but was recalled to be banned and then went back where he was recalled to back up the strikers out injured and worked hard although little reward.

Contract = Ends in July 2027

I'd Like = To see him get his chance in the first team with a bit of a run of games and not just shoved out on loan again.

Expectation = Nothing will happen and it will be mentioned that he is already on contract and it'll be done until the new season and review of performances happen.

#16 Antwoine Hackford

Average Rating = 6.35

Note: Signed at the beginning of the season, bags of pace but has flattered to deceive most of the season. Scoring the winner against Wigan Athletic should not change too many things unless performances improve.

Contract = Ends in July 2027 (with an extra year option)

I'd Like = To see more from him. I wanted him to be a great but I am still waiting.

Expectation = Nothing will happen and it will be mentioned that he is already on contract and it'll be done.

I'd Like = He frustrates me as he can be the centre of everything good or he looks like he is bored and doesn't want to be playing. I want to see more consistency from him and then I'd be happy to see him sign another deal and he will stay longer.

Expectation = Nothing will happen and it will be mentioned that he is already on contract and it'll be done.

#14 Matty Stevens

Average Rating = 7.00

Note: Leading scorer for a few seasons now. He has been troubled by injuries this season which could have some baring on the decision at the end of next season. He has had a great relationship with the club and fans. I hope he signs a new deal and stays and continues to score goals going forward.

Contract = Ends in July 2027

I'd Like = To see him scoring goals again and get another contract next season to keep him here.

Expectation = He'll be back next season and scoring again whether it goes beyond next season we will have to wait and see.

Note: Breakthrough kid for this season, my best joke is that he wasn't good enough to start at Chelmsford City yet rips through League 1 defenders.

I'd Like = Him to sign another contract for three years to allow his first team appearances to be more selective. It felt like desperate times where he was thrust forward and needs protecting somewhat. But he has a great future if it works out correctly.

Expectation = He'll be a prominent figure in the first team again and will grow as a player.

Average Rating = 7.43

I'd Like = Best signing for the end of the League 2 and was many-a-game where he was the only threat we had going forward. With injuries elsewhere he was a lone figure looking to put pressure on the oppo.

Expectation = Unless a big offer comes in the end of the season he'll be back next season although I cannot see him signing for us for more years although most will probably want it.

In reality = ???

#6 Ryan Johnson

Average Rating = 7.65

Note: Probably the first name on the team sheet as was lorded early in the season and was called up to the Northern Ireland squad.

I'd Like = To see him back and given a contract around January if the season is ticking along nicely. Just to give us a bit of time to see how things are going before splashing more cash.

Expectation = He will be back next season but whether another contract next year will come to light after the end of this current season.

Average Rating = 7.67

Note: HA year ago I was not impressed with Isaac but would be or close to my player of the season. Top draw and more importantly consistent week in and week out. Outstanding and if fit the first name on the teamsheet.

I'd Like = To see him back in yellow and blue next year with a contract extension to keep him here for years to come.

Expectation = There will be interest elsewhere which would make me worried. Should be back next season.

#1 Nathan Bishop

Note: Was given a three year deal when he signed and I'd describe this season as alright. Not fantastic but alright. Was dropped for the crunch game away at Wigan Athletic which could/should be a major concern for him.

I'd Like = To see him grow and claimed the starting role as his own (without concern)

Expectation = He'll be back next season as he will not be sold.

#22 Riley Horan

I'd Like = To see him offered a new contract just to give him time to progress and see if there is improvement there.

 Expectation = I would not be surprised to see the contract extended and more time given.

#23 Leo Young

Contract = Ends in July 2027

 I'd Like = To be completely honest I don't know anything really about the lad so have no idea what to expect.

 Expectation = See above

#24 Harry Sidwell

Contract = Ends in July 2027

 I'd Like =  To see him gain an extended contract to push on with the development and really look like a first team prospect. Potentially a single year to keep an eye on him but not two in case things remain stagnant then it'll free up some of the tight budget.

 Expectation = I really don't know with this one may stay or go and neither would be seen as a major shock either way.

#25 Ethan Sutcliffe

Contract = Ends in July 2027

 I'd Like = I like him and is cutting it at Conference South level but he has been there for I believe three years on and off and hasn't moved up a level so I think should happen is exactly what I would expect to happen.

 Expectation = Sadly I can see this hopeful prospect being cut for not making enough steps to channel towards the first team. Will make a good Conference South Player.
