The sequel of the first one. OK that was possible the worst introductions I’ve done on these reviews so I will start again with a tried and tested released in beginning which works. Release in 2002 sequel to the extremely well loved 1997 original movie saw the return of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in the main roles. The budget had increased by $50m to $140m but again it returned a nice profit of $441.8m which is why movies are made in the first place. The other stars are Lara Flynn Boyle, Johnny Knoxville, Rosario Dawson, Tony Shalhoub & Rip Torn. This is a sci-fi comedy following on from the first movie and milking that love just a little bit more ahead of a third and then disappoint results of the fourth movie. The critics were torn on this one (scoreboard not threatened) with 6.2/10 from IMDb & Rotten Tomatoes hated it was a meagre 39%. I clearly have better taste *Ha Ha Ha* Onwards to the plot!

Five years after the last movie K has retired and been flashed and now believes he is a postman in the backwater of the states. J goes to investigate a murder of an alien where the waitress tells him all the details about the Serleena being the murderer, who were apparently looking for the Light of Zartha. Breaking protocol J is attracted to Laura (the waitress) and doesn’t ping the flashy thing so she remembers him. In searching for the Light of Zartha and following up the clues for this murder lots of evidence points back toward his former colleague J. Meaning he will have to go and bring him back. J tells K that he had already zapped himself before to erase the memory of the Light of thingamabob. However he has given himself some clues just in case. The Men in Black return to take Laura into a safe place as they fear for her safety, meanwhile Serleena and her henchman continue their search for the light. Who will get there first K with his memory returning or the evil leather clad Serleena and the two headed accomplice.

This is another great movie and I have no idea where the Rotten Tomatoes mob are coming from. It follows in a very similar elk to the first movie and brings in some extra character to join the party as well. People do seem to forget that movies are made to make money most of the time. It doesn’t have to be a blockbuster to be successful but making a great movie is not enough to make a profit. You need it to be loved and popular that is how the money comes in which grants you permission to use that profit to make more movies and make they more like what you want and not mainstream just to be successful. This movie does that awkward second movie well it brough in profit it made people laugh and it made people invest in the story of these guys. You got to know them in the first movie and they got to develop in this one so sit back and enjoy this without any prejudice.
