This could well be the oldest movie on my list and I have black and white movies on here as well clocking in at 1951 and in colour as well. Back when money was just money and not silly this cost $3m to make and grossed $5.6m at the box office which back then was – tidy. As an animated movie and old school animation at that this would have taken an age and patience beyond belief to make this movie happen. It used the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, Sterling Holloway, Jerry Colonna, Verna Felton, J. Pat O'Malley, Bill Thompson, Joseph Kearns, Dink Trout and James MacDonald.
Again, this is going to be a really short plot overview as you should really go and read Lewis Carol’s classic novel but even so you should also watch this as well. Back in the day when Walt Disney tried to keep as close to the original story as possible depending on whether a scene could be included or not. Wow how times have changed at the Disney Corporation now, we’ve brought the story idea of this, that way we can change it into this by using its name to sell the lesser story that we came up with. Sorry I digress. Yes, this is a classic movie and one that followed snow white and really loaded the canon for WD to go onto the many great things before it got too big for its own boots.
So, I do not believe I need much of a summary here as this is a great cartoon in the realms of all the classic Disney movies. I am convinced there are many more Disney movies in the houses that maybe in bedrooms so won’t appear on this list. Oh, and it was close on IMDb with me at 7.4/10 Tomatoes loved it at 81%
