OK what did I say on the last short movies, I’ll be completely honest here and say I cannot be asked to go and check so I am just going to run with this one. I really like the Shrek stories there was one or two of the movies that dipped a bit. In general, I enjoy them and when they combined with one of my favourite times of the year with a movie franchise it has to be good doesn’t it.
This is less than 30 minutes long and release unsurprisingly in October in 2010 and had a returning cast of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Dean Edwards, Antonio Banderas, Cody Cameron, Conrad Vernon, Aron Warner, Christopher Knights and Kristen Schaal. As far as I am aware it went straight to DVD release and was quite well received.
For a 26-minute animation do not expect an in-depth plot description here. It effectively is three story told by different members of the gang so I will give you the name of the story and that should be enough of the plot. Fairy Nuff?
The first story is a parody of Bride of Frankenstein called The Bride of Gingy and told by Gingy. The second is told by Donkey and Puss and is a spoof of Psycho called Boots Motel. The final story told by Shrek is called The Shreksorcist and is obviously a spoof of the exorcist.
This is all good Halloween fun and even if you don’t and are forced to watch it with you kid(s) its 26 minutes of your life. Come on you can give up that time can’t you.
