This is a 2002 British horror movie that basically see’s a group of partying youngsters going a bit too far. Original idea that one. They decide that they are drunk enough that they should use a Ouija Board and accidently release a djinn into the world. This djinn is an ancient evil spirit that puts all of their lives at risk. It appears to want to kill all those that allowed it to escape in the first place. Seems a very strange way to thank those that let you free but it decides that it is going to kill those. I guess that it helps in that it only tries to kill those paid to be in acting in this movie.
I find it really hard not to mock this movie as it is a low budget movie from Britain and good ones are very hard to come by. I desperately wanted to like this movie for the reasons said above rather than it being a great one. If I am honest, we watched this movie on holiday and at the end of the holiday we were going to leave the cheap DVD’s purchased behind. I couldn’t let myself leave it behind so it now sits in my collection ahead of the next watch which may never happen but it’s there ready for me.
