Well Psycho returns for Norman Bates third film in 1986 and I have to say I think I feel a bit sorry for Anthony Perkins as I am not aware of him appearing in anything other than these four movies and this one is far from being its best in the story line. It is close to the second movie and set a few months after that movie.

Normal is running the motel and has a been granted an assistant manager who is a sleazy musician desperate for money and into the ladies. Also, in Normans life is a nun and introduced to a journalist who is convinced that Norman is killing again. He is about to kill the nun whilst dressed as him mother but when he goes to, he finds her trying to kill herself. And rather than Norman’s mother in that state that she it is in Norman rejects his mother and decides to save her. He is successful and they become “Closer friends” and start a relationship they realise that Duane the Assistant manager is a no-good dirty lowlife and sack him, so he decides to get revenge. Noman and Nun decide to give it go but ultimately Norman has to make a decision between the Nun and his actual mother. There’s another element to that story within this movie which I will leave you to pick up yourself if you should decide to watch this 68% rated film.

I didn’t find this a bad film I enjoy the story of Psycho and this doesn’t have a smudging on the original its watchable which is more than some of the movies that are out there. I brought the boxset to be complete but I haven’t bothered with the TV series which was highly rated but if I don’t start with it then I won’t get hooked and have to get the lot (sorry ladies but this is a man thing) but if you feel like watching this don’t let me stop you but again just don’t blame me if you hate it.
