ITS CHRISTMAS!!!! Well actually it’s the middle of a coronavirus summer and we are all stuck in the house and could not be further from Christmas than you could believe but it is in this movie.

This is the 2011 story of Christmas being saved by someone other than Santa, Rudolf or an elf except he may actually be an elf. I digress! This is about Santa’s Christmas using all available technology his technical manager is his son and is supported by his younger brother (or son) Arthur. Due to an error one girl doesn’t receive a present and Santa returns to the North Pole for a well-earned rest. The boys realise there’s a girl missing a present and Arthur decides he has to do something about it. So, he recruits the long-time retired Santa (assume he is a grandad or great

grandad) and the spare very old Sleigh and flies off to deliver the present before Christmas. Despite the race against time Arthur has enough time to fight wild cats go into orbit and finally reach the girl just as all the other clauses reach the girl. With all of them vying for the position of the main Santa job who is going to get it. The clue is in the name.

With the voices of Huge Laurie and Jim Broadbent in this cartoon it has to be good and although this is really not my type of Christmas movie it is a funny joy filled kids movie that will keep them entertained leading up to the real big day. It hasn’t found its way onto our Christmas traditions but its still an enjoyable romp.
