If you’ve read my review of The Unborn you would not be surprised to know that this movie was one of the other films in a three movie box set so this cost £1.67 and was released around the sound time as the Unborn in 2008 and is another in the home invasion movie which became very popular for a while. This was something of a success at the box office and starred Liv Tyler and someone called Scott Speedman who I don’t really know who is he.
The film revolves around a couple that are going through a strange situation as he had proposed but been rejected return to his parents (? – I think) summer house in the middle of nowhere which is convenient for the attackers. The man goes out leaving the girl alone when three masked aggressors decide to find their way into the house and terrify them for an evening. The man returns and both are attacked throughout the night from three masked people who have decided to spend an evening attacking some strangers which I assume must be better than playing monopoly but seems slightly aggressive.
Did I get my money’s worth with this under £2 effort no probably not, it’s been a while since I’ve seen this movie so I may be wrong with the following statement but I don’t think you ever find out why these three masked violent aggressors decided to pick this particular house or how they will benefit from the vicious attack. Which means you are hungry for more to find out what the whole thing was about in the sequel well no, nope not interested at all and to be fair I gave up caring about the couple who I believe we should have been cheering for by about the half way point of the movie. My suggestion is to keep your two quid and buy a bottle of pop and stick to your Freeview on the TV.
