I think I’ve only watched this movie one and a bit times and just found that I was not that interested in going back to investigate any further. I thought this was going to be a movie set in the early times of man and from memory that is how it begins. A caveman tribe member gets captured and four of a tribe give chase in an attempt to rescues them. Whilst on the chase the hero gets trapped in a pit with along with a sabre tooth tiger that is trapped and drowning in water but rather than kill he decides to free it before teaming back up with his companion who had just miraculously recovered from severe injuries but seeing as they had a local A&E department on site a few days of relaxing fixed everything so they can continue the chase. They discover the capturers are in fact the might of the Egyptian civilisation and I’d given up watching by then. To be honest I have limited knowledge on this subject but I thought the Sabre Tooth’s didn’t actually exist and were originally believed to live in Patagonian and nowhere near Egypt and were killed off long before the Egyptian civilisation were around. Let alone the Woolly Mammoths that the Egyptians have trained to help build the pyramids.

I forgot to mention that this film is just crammed full of fun facts for the time it was set, good luck in those exam’s kids! I have just gone to check the year this was released and read that this was set in the Russian mountains so how the hell do they get to Egypt I don’t know. Ultimately, the caveman bloke rally’s a load of tribes together to rally up against the forces of Egypt. With his Sabre Tooth Tiger by his side they win the day, well I may of made that last bit up but I guess that something like that should of happened but the actual end of the movie as they rise up rescue the girl just as she gets shot by an arrow and in a scene straight out of the Dark Crystal the old woman back at the tribe fire gives her last breathe for the girl who despite being shot by an arrow in the back is fine and everyone lives happily ever after. You may scream spoiler alert but you can thank me later for saving you the time actually watching this movie. You may lose consciousness way before the end as I had and it’ll save you bothering to watch the whole thing. Oh yes, the reason for checking this info was that the film was released in 2008.
