Updated: Aug 21

With the upcoming season almost upon us I really wanted to concentrate on the 92 list and seeing how many I can catch up on this season. Now I do not think I am going to get to tick off all 92 this season but I'd love to get as high up that list as possible. I have a target and a plan so lets see how we go for me here's the...

Now these are the clubs that I have either been to ground but not seen a game, or I've been to the old ground and they have a new one. They are not on my hitlist for this season currently but I may if an opportunity present itself then lets do it!

So here is the updates as the season goes on:

17 AUGUST 2026

I have ticked one more off the official list plus confirmed another that was yes but no. In that I went to York City's ground on Saturday and what a nice little ground that was. It was not that little compared to some I've been too, but what a well presented and efficient ground it was. There is a swimming pool in the sport centre and a bowling alley and a complete complex there as well. Nice and today and they won 3-2 as well. So sitting in the home end paid off! Then off to Newcastle United a ground I had been to before but not to see a game but today I got two for the price of two. As the Women lost 2-0 to the Inter Milan ladies and as a second tier outfit in the English set up they held their own and could have nicked a draw if the luck went with them. Then the boys played and they technically lost as well but on penalties after drawing 1-1 with RC Strasbourg. I didn't see the pens as I hot footed it out of there for the four and half hour drive home from the train station. Anyway that takes the total back up to more than where I finished last season with the tally at 81 with 11 left plus 3 on my strong secondary target and 4 on the lets go and see the new ground side of things. I will get to the 92 first then head back out for those last 3 targets. As others will move and teams will go down and then back up again. So depending on who you ask its either 11 or 14... but targets they are!!

8 AUGUST 2026

I have ticked two off the list as I went to Bristol City on Thursday night when they lost to Walsall in the League Cup. Then today (Saturday) I drove to Stoke City to watch them at home to Oldham Athletic in the League Cup also. This time Stoke won 2-0 and I was back up to 80 grounds of the 92. Which means next weekend I will be off to York City in their very first league game back in the football league and then up to Newcastle United for a friendly. I have been there before but I have not seen a game there so I can officially tick it off for reals. It'll be done (fingers crossed) by next week. I then have plans for Hull and Middlesborough on the same weekend. I would like to do Preston and Blackpool at the same weekend but this is all wishful thinking as I am already booked for Blackpool. It would need games not to overlap but this coming weekend will be the last trip for a while but plans will be formed [well I'm guessing or homing!]. Anyway I am off to bed as I'll be up early again tomorrow as its a Sunday training session day.

2 AUGUST 2026

I have tickets booked for Bristol City, Stoke City, York City and Newcastle United. I have a hotel room booked for Blackpool but match tickets are not yet available. I have plans for a jaunts to Truro City, Maidenhead United, Farnham Town, Farnborough, Walton & Hersham, although none of those are on the hit-list but I'll visit them this season if my plans work out. Then I have worked out that there are three spare weekends when I could pick a random unvisited team and just go see them. Once I tick any off I will keep you posted on here.

22 JULY 2026

I already have plans for Blackpool, Bristol City and Stoke City which would know could all change but that's it. I did have a plan for Leicester City as well but the EFL has put our fixture there on F**king Boxing Day!! Oh thanks for a nice local fixture mate! Anyway I have ideas about Brighton & Manchester United and even a slight thing about Bournemouth so things could be happened. I'll keep you posted.
